KEEP HOPE ALIVE for JAYSON DAVIS

Donation protected
Jayson Davis, an Albuquerque native and father of two beautiful children, had a tragic turn in life when he tested positive for COVID-19 in late July.  The virus has created a massive blood clot in his portal vein, and there is NO known surgical procedure to remove a blood clot of this type.

According to multiple doctors, specialists, and surgeons of New Mexico and the Mayo Clinic in Arizona, Jayson must now live with debilitating pain, significant portal hypertension, and many other life altering symptoms. Doctors continue to state that this clot will be life-shortening for the 28-year-old father. Due to the substantial damage that COVID has caused, he may not see his 30th birthday.

Jayson loves to hike mountains, ride dirt bikes, snowboard, go hunting and fishing, take long runs in the Bosque, play with his kids, and he works a very physical job.  In March, Jayson was running marathons and was in the best shape of his life.

Quickly, Jayson’s condition deteriorated, and unfortunately, his immunocompromised state along with his debilitating pain and other symptoms are preventing him from working, and keeping him from living life as he once knew it.

Doctors were convinced that he had to have a preexisting condition because they couldn’t rationalize that an otherwise healthy 27-year-old would develop such a blood clot in their portal vein. Jayson went through test after test validating that he was completely healthy prior to COVID-19 with no underlying illnesses or conditions.

This has been a challenge for Jayson, the once independent and strong man has had to learn to humbly ask for help from doctors, strangers, friends, and loved ones. We are still looking for answers, options, and hope for Jayson. He is now 28 years old and simply cannot accept the possibility of not raising his children.  His best friend, life partner, and rock, Stephanie, has kept Jayson positive about the future, despite all the odds against him.  Stephanie and the rest of his friends and family need your help in making Jayson's future bright.

COVID-19 is a new illness and it is wreaking havoc on people’s respiratory systems as well as their vascular systems and other organs. We are looking for medical providers, doctors, scientists, researchers, to investigate his case and if nothing else, learn from the devastation that COVID-19 can cause.

Jayson is a son, father, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew and friend.   He is a loving soul, with a smile and laugh that can light the darkest room.  TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE.  We need to spread the word and raise money NOW.  If you are willing or able to help Jayson by sharing his story and/or donating to help him with medical expenses, travel, and cost of living, it would be much appreciated.  Please send your prayers.  May you all stay healthy and safe. THANK YOU!
