Keep Homeless Animals Comfortable in the Heatwave

Tax deductible
Hi! A.D.O.P.T. Pet Shelter in Naperville is a private, nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter that provides medical services and everyday care to homeless animals while they wait for their forever homes. Since 1989, A.D.O.P.T. has placed over 30,000 animals into loving homes. In addition to an onsite shelter and network of private foster homes, we have a low-cost training center and veterinary clinic. Open to the public, the clinic serves the community, other rescue groups and animals in our care. The recent expansion of services offered enables us to help more animals than ever before. We also offer temporary crisis foster-care to owners who are unable to care for their pet due to hospitalization, foreclosure, domestic violence, or another personal crisis. We work with each pet owner to provide a safe, temporary home for their animals. We are currently seeking funds to help us replace our air conditioning unit. This unit will cost us $27,000 to replace. Our amazing and hardworking group of staff and volunteers do so much for these animals, and we want to be able to help provide a comfortable work environment, especially during these hot summer days! And we want our animals to have a comfortable place to stay while they wait for their forever homes. We house approximately 100 animals in our facility, and we want them to be able to relax inside in the cool air after they have their play time outside! With the hot weather we have been having, we have to remember that it is even hotter for our furry friends than it is for us! Please consider donating to help us replace our air conditioning unit!
