I'm the owner of Holy Shannoli, a woman-owned, self-funded pop-up in Portland. Since February 2024, operating only as a pop-up, we've generated over $120,000 in net sales. Portland has spoken—you love us, and we love you right back.
But here's the truth: while I wait on SBA funding, which is now delayed, I'm running out of working capital. Without bridge support from our community to get us through to the holiday season, I will have to end operations. After careful consideration and encouragement from many of my peers, it's simply time to ask for help. The truth is I am not ready to throw in the towel—Holy Shannoli has been a bright spot for so many of you, and for me.
Why I'm asking for help now:
To keep showing up for you every week, I need short-term help to cover the essentials:
• Booth fees & permits (so you can keep finding us at markets)
• Ingredients & product (so every cannoli is fresh-filled, always)
• Commissary kitchen fees (to produce safely and consistently)
• Packaging & supplies (to serve and cater well)
• Expanded marketing (so more people can find us)
• Emergency expenses (because surprises happen)
I've worked tirelessly to make Holy Shannoli the success it's proven to be. With an arm up from our community, I can bridge this gap, keep our team working, show up through the holidays, and meet the demand you've created—until SBA funding lands.
How your gift helps immediately:
• Keeps us on the market calendar
• Lets us buy ingredients and packaging in bulk (lower costs, steady supply)
• Preserves momentum going into the holidays (our busiest season)
• Protects a loved local small business built with heart
I'll post updates on where we're serving, and how your support is keeping us going. If donating isn't possible, a share means the world.
From the bottom of my heart—thank you for believing in Holy Shannoli and in me. I can't wait to see what we build together next.
Thank you,
XOXO
Shannon
