This fundraiser is for a deeply resilient young woman facing overwhelming challenges - financial hardship, chronic medical issues, mental health struggles, and the threat of being uprooted from her support system.
She's currently wrapping up her studies, thanks to a generous sponsor that paid for her school fees. That support came with a condition: she must now complete a 3-year work placement in another city, away from her care network, her mental health providers, and her community. For someone already navigating severe physical and mental health issues, this forced move would be life-threatening.
We want to offer another way forward.
Our goal is to raise $15,000:
- $5,000 will go directly to repaying the sponsor, allowing her to stay in her current city with her support system.
- The remaining $10,000 will cover essential costs: medical appointments and treatment, therapy and mental health care, and basic living expenses during this time of healing.
Any amount helps. If we exceed our goal, the additional funds will go toward ongoing care and recovery.
