Keep Hector Safe and Healthy During Disability Wait
Donation protected
I’m fundraising to stay housed, stay healthy, and stay hopeful while I wait for disability support.
Hola, my name is Héctor Rivera, and I’m reaching out during one of the hardest chapters of my life.
Since January, I’ve been waiting for my Social Security Disability benefits to be approved—a process that takes many months, even when the need is urgent. I’m now in the final stage of review, but it’ll still be at least two more months before any support arrives.
In the meantime, I apply for jobs daily, hoping to find one that accommodates my disability. I’ve gone through interview after interview, but I’m consistently passed over—not because I lack experience or drive, but because my health limits what I can physically do.
I live with multiple long-term health conditions that affect my mobility, stamina, and daily functioning. These aren’t temporary setbacks—they’re medical realities that make traditional work impossible. I’ve always been a hard-working man who took pride in providing for myself and my family. Asking for help like this is humbling, but I’ve reached a point where I can’t do it alone.
I need help covering:
Rent, electricity, and phone service
Medical expenses and prescriptions
Transportation to medical appointments
Please consider donating—every dollar helps me hold on until disability support arrives. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign is just as powerful.
The money will go directly toward keeping me housed, maintaining my treatments, and ensuring I can get to the care I need.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for standing with me. Your support means more than words can express.
