My wife, Heather, is a mother fighting harder than any mom should have to for her daughter.
A drunk driver hit her daughter, Kate May 8th while she was walking in LA. Kate’s legs were shattered. Her neck and face were fractured. She has internal injuries and is headed into surgery today. She survived, but she’s going to have to learn how to walk again—and that will take a year. They're concerned about her having a stroke and have her heavily sedated.
The drunk driver’s insurance should cover Kate’s medical bills. But it doesn’t cover the fact that Heather had to leave her job to care for her daughter needs. It doesn’t pay for rent, food, or transportation to endless therapy appointments that are in our future.
This Mother’s Day, I want to give Heather the only gift she needs: the ability to stay by Kate’s side without worrying how we'll survive this financially.
Please consider my sweet wife in her time of need. Both me and my wife life 2 hours from LA were Kate will need treatment. With gas prices what they are, a trip just to see Kate will quickly become insurmountable for us. Any help even if it's sharing this will help Heather be available to a daughter who has nobody to rely on but her
Thank you for your kindness.
