Keep Healthy Food Lessons Alive at Global Arts Plus

Hi, my name is Zach Floyd, and I teach 4th grade at Global Arts Plus in St. Paul. In past school years, a teacher from the Midwest Food Connection has taught four lessons in all three of our 4th grade classrooms. Our students love this program! Unfortunately, this year the funding source for this program has been cut, so I am creating this fundraiser to raise the necessary money to continue this program at Global Arts Plus.

The four-lesson unit that will be taught is called Locally Grown. In the four lessons, students will learn about healthy ingredients local to Minnesota, make and eat a salad, learn about and make wild rice, and get to try some local spices. This year two of the lessons are being funded, but we have been asked to come up with funding for the other two lessons. The cost for two lessons for three 4th grade classrooms totals $740. I am asking for $760 total to cover the cost of the lessons and transaction fees.
