Help Harm Reduction Sisters Keep Saving Lives
Spende geschützt
Harm Reduction Sisters, founded in 2019, is a grassroots nonprofit based in Duluth, Minnesota, with satellite locations across rural Northern MN. We provide crucial safer use and safer sex supplies, services, and education to hundreds of individuals a year, and everything we do is provided at absolutely no cost to our participants. We are a network of participants, volunteers, staff, and board members who believe in creating a more just future and increased linkages to care for people who use drugs, people who engage in sex work, and anyone else who can benefit from our services.
We both employ and serve Indigenous and POC communities, the LGBTQ+ community, and houseless and unstably housed populations, among other underserved communities. We are proudly women and nonbinary led and are continually working to diversify our staff and the demographics we reach.
To name just a few of our vital services:
- Clean needle and smoking supplies distribution
- Safer injection supply distribution
- Narcan/naloxone distribution
- HIV case management
- Condom distribution
- FTIR drug checking
- MAT linkage-to-care
- HIV and syphilis rapid testing
The statistics, the studies, and the people we serve are a testament— the work we do is critical to saving lives and the wellbeing of our community. Northern Minnesota, like most of the US, is facing a serious overdose crisis. It is rare that a day goes by that we do not hear about a life saved by the Narcan we distribute. And these services not only literally save lives, but help our participants live healthier, fulfilling lives. We offer support that gives people empowerment and hope—not just survival. We need your help TODAY. Gifts from people don't have the restrictions of government grants, and it allows us to fill in the gaps that funding misses. We need extra help right now to keep our services strong and to be ready to do even more in 2025.
However you can help, please do so now so we can fill in those gaps the government won't do! If you can't give right now, please share this page with people in your networks. Together, we are strong and we can do this work!
