Keep Hardcore Bagels Alive in Downtown Reno

Hello, I am Jason. I make bagels at Lox Stock & Two Smoking Bagels. My partner and I wanted to create a space for the Reno Community in which we could serve delicious beer, delicious food and cultivate an inclusive environment where people feel comfortable to hang out against the backdrop of DIY punk rock, Hardcore, Metal and Art. Essentially, our vision was to serve quality food at affordable prices to a town which deserves the opportunity to have some Cul de sac of hospitality to be DE gentrified since so much of downtown is reserved for tourist trapping and casinos.

Upon finding the means to try to make this vision a reality (which included cashing out all retirement funds and savings as well as a bunch of loans), I found myself in the unfortunate situation of running into the junior mafia in Reno and the Blue Bloods. Between them and the vultures who came pick, pick, picking away at me, I was left with very little to actually launch the business (Opening day was almost exactly one year after I initially signed the lease...all on my dime, of course, with no tenant improvements (which were significant) included in the lease).

The reviews from customers tell the tale of what we are trying to continue to offer to Reno at tremendous personal sacrifice however, I am now staring in the face of financial ruin and imminent eviction so have decided to attempt this fundraiser.

If you could spare anything to support this venture, I would be forever indebted to you. All funds would go toward paying off suppliers which are in arrears and hiring new staff to support increasing demand.
