Hi everyone, you likely have read some of my story from myself or others but my name is Meg and it’s been my dream to open Good Girl Cafe and Bookstore since the passing of my parents in 2024 and 2025.

Coffee shops and romance books have saved me in so many ways over the last couple years and I wanted to create a space where romance readers like myself can come, grab a drink, find their next book, and relax in a cozy and comforting space south of Denver.

Due to construction oversights we have not been able to open our doors even though we were supposed to open in July.

Because of the delays and unexpected costs, we have not been able to make enough money to keep up with the never ending expenses of running a business. We are anticipating being able to open soon, but it is not soon enough to keep up with our expenses.

I’m asking our community for help to pay immediate expenses such as rent, espresso machine repairs, and wages for my staff who will be coming in for training soon. I’ve seen what the book community can do, how they show up, and the immense support they provide and I’m hoping you will be able to help me.

This is not something I ever wanted to do but I believe in the power of community and asking for help when you need it. I want to give our bookstore a fighting chance and we will not get that if I don’t ask for help.
