Frederico and his family are seeking help raising $1,500 to pay for the first month rent on an apartment. Frederico and his wife and two teenage daughters escaped violence in South America a few years ago and have been steadily building a life in the Washington DC area. However, a few weeks ago they learned they needed to find a new apartment. Because the girls are in local schools they are trying to stay in the same neighborhood, so as to avoid disrupting the girls' schooling. They found a great apartment in their price range but, after unexpected car fixes and legal costs, they desperately need help covering the first month's rent in order to get the apartment.
