♥️Please help save FMK Karate during the Covid Pandemic.❤️

My name is Matthew Kurey and I was born and raised in Binghamton NY 2 houses down from Frank.
I am rooting for FMK to remain in business through the Covid pandemic.
I am not an owner of this gym. My grandfather Jerry Kocik helped Frank Kushner (owner and founder of FMK) Build this Dojo in the 1988.

Master Frank Kushner's passion, love for the sport and practice  of karate &  martial arts has had a lasting positive impact on our community of adults and the youth for almost a half a century. Recently celebrating their 32nd anniversary as a school. Sensei Kushner and his fellow teachers continue to teach our youth respect, self defense, discipline and invaluable principles of life. 

Frank has always taken the shirt (Gi) off his back for others. His leadership and passion for helping others in our community is unprecedented. If you evermet Frank you would know exactly what I am talking about...

So, lets get to WHY this fundraiser is so important

As we know, gyms and sports complexes alike havebeen deemed as “non essential” businesses during this crisis. If you have a gym membership with a club you are probably continuing to pay for your membership fees even though classes are closed for an indefinite period of time. Thankfully these businesses will not financially struggle to remain open. However not every gym does this. 

“Sensei” Frank Kushner, owner of FMK Karate is struggling to keep up with the costs to continue to leave the lights on. This is because Frank is  not charging for a monthly membership for all members during this time. 

THE GOAL of this fundraiser is to contribute towards the costs of electricity, water, heat and all other operational costs that this gym insures on a monthly basis with a substantial hit in income. 

Kushner who owns FMK Karate , 762 Chenango Street in Binghamton has been training and instructing in karate and the martial arts for over 53 years. He has been a top-rated international Karate competitor as well as a highly regarded instructor.  He is a multi-year USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame inductee as well as a Broome County Sheriff's Department advisor for self defense and personal safety.

Kushner is on the Board of Directors of two World Wide Martial Arts Halls of Fame. At his school he instructs students of all ages. Students learn the value of karate and martial arts training for self defense, health and sport.  During his instruction he also emphasizes respect for others and increased confidence and self esteem.

Any amount of donation is appreciated and will go a long way to keep this Dojo open through this crisis.
