Jill's bestie here ! I think we all feel lost of what to do or say after all the fighting Jill has done and continues to do. I'm starting this gofundme to try and take away one stress from her and her family. Hoping this can help so she can just focus on her health and mind. If you don't know about her story let me share a little.
Jill was a single mother who grew up in "Delco" , Pennsylvania. She moved to Texas in 2014 to try and make a better life for her and her son Joey. There she met her husband Jesse and they happily married in 2017. Before and during this Jill has always suffered from stomach/bowel issues. They were always dismissed as IBS because of her age, stress and no family history. After marriage she started to advocate more for herself now with his support. She pressed on that something does not seem right and her stomach and bowel issues were now progressing to the point she could see blood. She finally got a colonoscopy scheduled. September 20th 2017 was the date of the procedure. A day she always remembers vividly. She woke up from the colonoscopy to Jesse standing next to her doctor crying ,”It’s cancer, Baby” . From there she was sent straight to surgery to remove the tumor. At that time it was in the sigmoid colon and an almost total bowel obstruction was removed. Pathology showed it was already at Stage 3. This was the beginning of her now known ongoing battle. Between 2017 to now not only has she been battling cancer, their house was flooded 3 times rehoming them for months during chemo. Joey's biological father also passed away. Through all that she has continued not only to fight ( 43 rounds of chemo & countless surgeries)but also working full-time and going to school to pursue a degree in business.
Unfortunately as of Wednesday September 7th 2022 during her oncologist visit she was given the news the tumors are growing and there’s no cure.
This leaves her trying to find a clinical trial that matches her. If that does not work it then
becomes stage 5 . She has made the hard decision to leave work and focus solely on her health right now. She goes to MD Anderson in Houston which is a couple hours drive for her.
I would love to come together as a group and show her we are here with you! Don't give up and help her continue this battle! Any little bit that you can give will help relieve some of the financial stress for her family so they can focus on being her support system as well.
