Fort Bend County Animal Services (FBCAS) is an open admission municipal shelter in Rosenberg, TX. Taking in an average of 4000 homeless pets each year from the unincorporated area of Fort Bend County,
The shelter campus consists of 3 buildings with the dog kennels being inside and outside because the shelter remains at or over capacity on a consisten basis.
The outside dog kennels are subject to the extremes in Texas weather. When it's hot, we try to rotate the dogs inside and out - even though our kennels are not air conditioned. When it's cold, rainy or other extreme weather, the outside kennels get by with dog houses, blankets and tarps.
Fort Bend PAWS, the 501c3 for the shelter is asking for your help to raise funds to enclose the outside kennels and if enough money is raised, to add air conditioning to the interior dog area as well.
