Help Emily Stay by Duncan’s Side Through His Heart and Brain Surgery Recovery - A note from Emily:

Dear friends, family, and cherished community,

Our beloved Duncan has endured an unimaginable journey. After undergoing emergency open-heart surgery, he has now also faced brain surgery to reduce swelling. He remains in the ICU in critical condition, and we’re taking it one moment at a time. There is still so much unknown, but Duncan is here—and he’s incredibly strong. That strength gives us hope.

We’ve been told to expect at least another week in the ICU, possibly longer. After that, Duncan will begin a long and challenging road of rehabilitation and recovery.

Through it all, my deepest desire is simply to stay by his side—to hold his hand, talk to him, and be there as his advocate and companion as he fights to heal—body, mind, and spirit. That presence means everything right now, for both of us.

So many of you have already reached out with prayers, messages, and love. Your support has carried us through the darkest moments. Truly, thank you.
