[2026 / March / 02 Update]
After several more months and hospitalizations than anticipated, I have finally gotten into housing. Thank you so much to everyone who's supported me this far.
While this is great news, as noted, it took longer than anticipated, and in order to qualify for the housing program, I had to not ask for or accept any donations. The social swim connected to either cannot afford to help or that I don't qualify since I'm not homeless now. I am months in arrears on storage and at imminent risk of all I own being auctioned off. By the 6th I need to be able to give them $1000. I need $1500 for movers (I am physically disabled and can do little of this myself) to get everything out of storage, period.
I'm looking for work now that I'm finally housed, but things I need (my computers, reference texts, tools, and CLOTHES) are, you guessed it, in storage. Medical equipment, personal records, heaters and fans and shoes and a real bed, storage. My family's ashes.
I know I'm asking again, but please help. Please share.

My full first name’s “Eleanne”. I came to Portland about 3.5 years ago, fleeing domestic violence, and ended up in an even worse situation. After a stint of homelessness, I got into a housing program, but one based on finding work. This would have been no problem, except my medical needs due to disability were not being met. I wasn't physically able to work consistently. Eventually, the program ended, and me without the ability to take over my living costs.
I have a much better medical team, now. I'm looking for work, for hosing, but none of it is coming fast enough to allow me to avoid eviction for nonpayment. Having been homeless in Portland before, I'm well aware I can't do it again. I am not as capable or resilient as I once was.
So, I'm asking for your help. About $2K will mean I can pay for a storage space and for people to help move my belongings out of my home. If we somehow get to $5K, that would also cover me being housed and safe for a.couple of months until I can access permanent housing. And I know I should have made this GoFundMe sooner, because right now I'm legally obligated to be out on the 30th of June. I was trying everything else, all of the official and "proper" channels and procedures.
Please help, if you can. Please share, regardless. And, thank you in advance.
