Keep Dreams Alive: Support SAS Cheer Athletes
Donation protected
Hi! My name is Jennifer Spear and I am an All-Star Cheerleading Coach at Supernatural All Stars (SAS) in Fitchburg, MA. The cheerleading world has earned a bit of a toxic reputation over the years, and here at SAS, we are working to help repair that! Our hope is to create a culture of perseverance and growth, with a huge emphasis on supporting our athletes at their level and in all aspects of their lives!
If you aren't aware, all-star cheer is so very expensive! There are tuition costs like uniforms, shoes, hair accessories, monthly practices, competition fees, coach fees, and so on. Then, on top of all of those fees, there are related fees to any travel that might be required, including lodging and food. My goal here is to help support families with the tuition costs.
I am a second-generation cheerleader, and my daughter is a third-generation cheerleader here at SAS. I have been coaching for over 30 years, and my 13-year-old daughter has already started volunteering her time as a junior coach at SAS. Cheer is everything to us, and like most cheerleaders I know, cheer is the only sport that my daughter truly excels in. I can't imagine what our life would be like if we couldn't make this happen for her.
Please know that I AM NOT ASKING FOR SUPPORT TO PAY FOR MY CHILD'S CHEER. I am trying to build a fund to help support the families at our gym that are at risk of having to pull their child because they just can't find a way to make it happen. Some of our kids come to the gym to "escape" the difficulties of their lives. Some of the kids are here to do what they love with their friends. Some of our athletes come because this is where they truly feel themselves.
Please consider helping to support this initiative. I am working to create an application process for families so that we can make sure that we are helping to support families that are truly in need and to make sure we can help as many athletes as possible! Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story.
(This is not an initiative put out by the gym. I am running this independently of SAS)
