Help Save Dennis/Eisler Family Property

Dear Community,

On February 12, 2018 our Grandmother Phyllis Dennis passed away.  All of her life Phyllis spoke about wanting to keep her property in the family. Originally this property was purchased by family members in 1930.  Both of our Grandparents  intentions were set so the land would be a place where all children, grand children, and their loved ones could enjoy for generations to come.

Three days after Grandma Phyllis passed family members were kicked off the property by the Trustee, next Trustee called the Sheriff on her own family without communication while family was trying to secure property. Trustee moved caretakers into our Grandmas house that sorted and packed all our Grandma's belongings while we were not even allowed a memento from our Grandma Phyllis. Then just before Christmas the family received a petition 2018 for the land to be sold outside the family, this action caused us to seek legal counsel trying to stop the sale outside the family.  Still 2 years later, no family members have been allowed on the property.

We have run out of funds to continue to fight with Lawyers over this issue, and as of today, 3/3 2020 we received letters that the 45% share stated in the trust and will to go to beneficiaries will be sold to highest bidder. Bidding beginning at 72,000. for Joel, Kate, and Amber's share. We have lost faith in the justice system, completely, and know the laws need changed regarding elderly parents being taken by one sibling to change trust in their favor and take control over whole families. This happens often and in so many forms it is disgusting

The trustee also placed Phyllis ashes on property not telling or allowing family to visit.

My Grandmother's wishes have been denied by the Trustee, and we were forced into a legal battle struggling to obtain our rights and maintain our Grandparents wishes.

Through all the deep sorrow surrounding the passing of our Grandma and Trustee's actions,  our family was hit with another tragedy, 4 months after our Grandmothers passing, our father Larry Eisler died of cancer at 61 yrs.

This fundraiser is to help us raise money for buying in, and paying off large debt on property  ran up by Trustee within the last 2 years, and to help cover some of our legal costs too,  we've had to pay over 40,000 so far.  Sadly, all our attempts to resolve this conflict have been thwarted, and at this point will not be resolved without further litigation.

We need all the  help we can get to protect, and persevere, this precious property that has been in our family for 100 years, and has our family members ashes on the land.  We are artists and working class people.

This legal dispute has been happening for more than two years now ALL DONATIONS will go towards our buy into property and our fees.  Our Lawyer estimated this cost at $75,000.

Please consider donating any amount to help us preserve our sacred family property. The loss of our Grandmother, Susanne and Liz's mother, and Liz's husband, our father Larry Eisler were tragic.  Losing this family property, where we all spent time preserving and protecting would be devastating to the whole family.

Any help you can afford to give would mean the world to us.  Please share with friends and family on Facebook, Instagram,  twitter, email, and text messages.

Each share can make a real difference,

Please help us stand up for what is right by helping us keep our beloved family land, and give the family a sense of  justice in what has been a cruel  and unwarranted battle so far.

Deepest Thanks,

the  Eisler/Dennis family
