We are reaching out to the Comics and Collecting Community at Large to help us keep CC Store Doors Open, and thriving for the remainder of the year.
Needless to say this is a difficult decision to make but I want to keep my full time and part time staff gainfully employed while we navigate the ever shifting landscape of the Comic Book Direct Market post Diamond Distribution, and offer services and continue working in and with our community at both locations.
Sales Since 2024 have been increasingly in decline and while some new comic series are selling very well, overall for CC, the landscape is changing drastically. We understand it's much to ask for in the current economic climate and state of the industry but we feel we offer valuable services such as
Purchasing Collectibles
Paying up to 50% Of Retail Values.
Working with other Businesses, Charities Schools, Libraries and Clubs to advance reading and collecting as a hobby and way to reach outside of the stores and support the neighborhoods our customers live and work in.
We have always offered a range of Free Activities and a full Size Free Arcade at Parkville for over 5 years, and one of the Largest Free Comic Book Day Events in the Country Since 2002.
Clear Fundraising Goals :
Pay down existing Business Lines of Credit, Debts.
Pay Staff, and keep FT Staff working Full Time making Living Wages.
Continue ordering New Products and maintaining Stock and purchasing Vintage Items and Collectibles from the Public.
Review - At the End of this year we will hopefully be able to make a determination about both Stores Future dependent on the outcome of this fundraising initiative.
