I am setting up this crowdfunding page for my beautiful daughter Coco. She has spent her first year of secondary education at Sands school in Ashburton. If a school could be tailor made to her, Sands is what it would look like! She has made beautiful connections with students and teachers.

Coco is an incredibly intelligent young person but also easy to overwhelm. Small education settings are key to her ability to learn and the thought of uprooting her at this vulnerable age is heartbreaking. This crowdfunding page is to buy me time while I apply to funding bodies to help her through the next 5 years, as I have found myself in a position I can no longer afford the high fees having exhausted every avenue.Sadly so far I have been unsuccessful as was very rushed and many funding bodies work a year in advance which would be starting sept 26 .

As a neurodivergent parent I see a lot of my behaviour mirrored in Coco. She is currently awaiting assessment.

The last 7 years have been extremely challenging for Coco and myself. I don’t feel capable of meeting her homeschool needs. This year for the first time I have witnessed Coco blossom and seen a glimpse of her potential having the education and community that suits her, this is Sands school!

As her Mother I want nothing more than for my girl to be happy, hence this plea for your support in helping me keep her where she is happy.
