Chirp: New Album & Van Fundraiser

Hello Chirp family, friends, fans and followers. Thank you for caring enough about our birdboi endeavors to stop through and read this.

We’re here to let you know about a couple reasons we’re seeking donations from the community that’s been incredible to us in our decade-long (dang, we’re old) history as a project.

First off, we’ve got our third studio album, “Torque”, fully recorded (ft. some killer guest musicians). Up to this point, we’ve fully self-funded this project featuring 10 original songs. We’re fast-approaching the mixing and mastering phase and plan to hire experienced professionals for both which, justifiably so, is not cheap. After this phase, once the project itself is finished, we’ll be entering the process of printing/packaging, distributing and marketing. In order to do it right and get the project into as many earholes, stereo systems, and vinyl collections as possible, a significant amount of spending will be necessary. This includes the ability to afford things like:

-vinyl/cd art and packaging

-music videos/content production

-album-related merch

-social media/streaming platform ad campaigns

We busted our tail feathers on these tunes and could not be more excited about the album we’ve recorded. We want to get this music out to you as soon as humanly/birdly possible.

Another major aspect of getting this album out there is touring after and during its release, which leads to another major expense we’ve got on the table.

Last year, our second band van, the beloved Earl, broke down because of a failed transmission. We collectively came to the decision to sell it (it’s on Facebook Marketplace if anyone’s interested). Since the breakdown, we’ve been making a steady touring schedule work with our trailer and a rotation of our own cars, borrowing/renting RVs, vans, and cars from friends and family. We’re aiming to secure a permanent, reliable touring vehicle that will promise longevity and some good ole tourability.
