Today is a seriously horrible day!!
They say it comes in 3s and my god it’s true!!!
This morning started badly when we weren’t greated with the usual 3 cheerful faces in the raccoon house!! We knew something was wrong straight away!!
Roxy our oldest lady had passed away in the night she was 18 and had come to us as a rescue at the age of 12 without having the best start in life, she soon came round in our care to thinking not all humans were so bad.
She will be so badly missed by us and her friends xxxx night night little one xxx
We then received 2 phone calls in quick succession........
one telling us one of our major feed Suppliers has gone out of business! Leaving us needing to find a replacement fast!!
And the 2nd confirmed that we are not eligible for any bank loans, mainly due to our high running cost and lack of assets to secure against!!
(My Imagination ran wild thinking of bay-lifts comming in trying to move a camel )
In the ealiest days we were under the belief that we and our staff were going to be covered by the governments guarantees but sadly We are not eligible for anything other than the one off £10,000 grant that is also along way off been available!!
Our minimum weekly costs with no vets bills or Sudden surprises are £3180 a week with no possible savings to be made xxxx
You can see why we are so frightened as to whether the park can survive xxx it’s been amongst the hardest time in my life to see our team of friends and loved ones all under so much stress and pressure and to have to make cuts to our staff has felt like losing a family member each time I just Iive in hope that they can return as soon as things change xxx
The death toll today from COVID-19 jumped to 563 in the last 24 hours! Which means we won’t been able to open our gates again time soon. Leaving it impossible to know what we have to plan for
My heart really goes out to the family’s of people that have lost loved ones xxxx it makes our problems seem insignificant xxx
So with a very heavy heart and with much regret we have had to set up a go fund me page!! I’m just so sorry it has come to this xxx
If you can think of ways we can repay you with experiences, season tickets, or anything else you can think of!!! try us I’d love to hear your ideas?? xxxx we Appreciate any donation at all no matter how small xxx love from us all at the park xxxx
THANK YOU A MILLION TIMES XXX
