Help Us Stay Rooted: A Mother’s Plea for Stability
Dear Friends and Kind Souls,
I never thought I’d be here, writing these words, but I’m reaching out because time is running out for my daughter and me. This December, we are facing eviction from our home—a place that has been our refuge, our sanctuary, and where I’ve poured my heart into building a small business that I believed could sustain us.
For over a year, I’ve been tirelessly searching for steady work. I’ve sent countless applications, attended interviews, and done everything I could to secure a future for my little girl. But the doors just haven’t opened. In the meantime, I’ve been working relentlessly to grow my small business, a labor of love that creates plant therapy products and programs designed to heal and inspire.
Despite my efforts, the income just isn’t enough. Every sale, every program I’ve run has been a step forward, but it hasn’t bridged the gap we need to stay afloat. We’ve faced obstacle after obstacle, and now, with an eviction notice looming, I’m left with no other choice but to ask for help.
This isn’t just about keeping a roof over our heads. It’s about holding onto hope. It’s about showing my daughter that even in the darkest moments, kindness and community can make all the difference. It’s about saving the dream I’ve poured my heart into—a dream of helping others heal through the power of plants, even as I fight to heal my own life.
Your support will help us secure housing and keep my business alive during this critical time. Whether you can give a little or share this story, every act of kindness brings us closer to stability.
I know times are tough for many, and asking for help is humbling. But if you’ve ever believed in second chances, in the strength of a single mom trying her best, or in the healing power of community, I’m asking you to believe in us.
With all my heart, thank you for being a part of our journey.
Thank you sincerely,
Cathy
