My name is Cat. It's been a long time since I had a good job. 2012 to be exact. I now, finally, have 2 jobs that enable me to pay my rent. Sadly, I can not pay the back rent I owe. I fell behind three months and can't catch up. Now my landlord of more than 30 years has given me 30 days to come up with three months rent. If I can't, I will have to be gone by January 24th. I got the letter two days ago, making for an extra-depressing holiday. I used a photo from Halloween to showcase the costume I made. It's for sale, as are all of my other costumes. My motorcycle is for sale too, but the pink slip is missing and by the time I get it from the DMV it will be too late. Getting another place to live is not an option. I don't have the money. If I did, I'd pay the back rent. The Housing Commission is unable to help. I don't have anywhere to go if I lose this place. I have two cats that depend on me, and having to give them up would be devastating to me.
