For 8 months, we lived in Rogers Park after being homeless with our special needs son. We were the happiest family with our new home, our "poor meals," and our loving animals. We were on top of the world because we felt as if we had won the lottery.

In December 2024, the week before Christmas, we were wrongfully evicted after my landlady passed away. And it happened all while I was at work and my son was at school. Since then, I have tried to keep my family afloat. Two months ago, I lost my job, and I'm delayed on our storage unit payment.

We are days away from losing ALL OF OUR DOCUMENTS!

If you have had to go to the DMV or File Clerk for anything, you know how stressful it can be.

And this is for 3 people! It would be chaotic.

I am petrified to lose those types of documents because our social security cards, birth certificates, death certificates, etc., are all in that storage. There are personal belongings that have a lot of history of passed loved ones as well, and that just makes our family feel very depressed and hopeless. Please help a Mom! We just need a helping hand to not lose what is valuable to us, along with my son's toys LOL.
