Keep Camping Alive for Griffin and Angela

As many of you know, Griffin and I had our cargo trailer broken into, and all our large ticket camping items stolen.  We are lucky, in that I did keep a few things in our home, such as coolers and propane tanks...but all of our shelters were taken (tent, screen house, pop ups - even our potty tent!), as well as all our stoves/bbq, propane heater, propane firepit, folding camp kitchen, our lanterns (battery and propane) and flashlights, our bin of water toys (Griff's brand new boat, the inflatable slide that he only got to use once, and other assorted floaties), all our tarps, my ax, Griff's ax, even our special low love seat and adjustable height table (both of which were purchases made especially for Griffin so things were just his height), our sleeping bags, air bed, ground mats, a variety of small tools/supplies (things like all the bungee cords/shovel/rope/heavy duty spikes...) and don't let me forget the folding wagon that hauled many a load of fire wood, or even carried a tired out Griffin after a long walk. 

I could go on and on, but you get the point.  We certainly don't expect to be able to replace everything that was stolen, many of  those items weren't NECESSITIES.  But there are some things we will definitely need to be able to go at all, and if I'm being honest...I couldn't dream of being able to afford it all right now.

Camping is Griffin's and my special thing.  We do it faithfully each year from May to September, as many times as possible. He's just getting big enough to be a helper with set up, and was beginning to learn some survival skills and be more a part of the work involved.  If we can't go camping because of a lack of supplies, it will be a devastating loss for both of us.  It took me YEARS to collect everything, making one or two larger purchases each year, as I could afford, to build up our perfect camping supply collection.  It would take me another decade to build it up again on my own :(

And this is why I'm doing this fundraiser.  I'm not good at asking for help.  I don't know why, just the way I'm wired I suppose.  But so many of you expressed a desire to help financially, and I could not be more grateful.  And it's for Griffin that I swallow my pride and ask for your help.  If you enjoy our camping posts and you wish to help us continue our adventures  - we thank you most sincerely for donating <3.

I started to make a list  of everything and price it all out, but it was such an overwhelming task, once I reached $3k I just gave up.  So I have just ball-parked a dollar amount.  Anything at all will help us though.
