My name is René and I’m the person behind blank.page. Today I need your help to keep this beautiful website free.

Free of advertising. Free of paywalls. Free of sign-ups and forgotten passwords. Free of downloads behind walled AppStores. Free of investor's growth ambitions.

The Internet deserves a free page to write about what matters in our lives. Thousands of people around the world use blank.page every day to write their thoughts, homework, emails, love letters, blog posts, to-do lists, and everything in between.

But running this site is expensive and getting increasingly so with new visitors every day. Last month alone, we served more than 2.5 million pageviews. That’s a lot of bandwidth costs to cover!

New features

Once the expenses are covered, I'll use the new funds to develop various improvements:

Offline mode: Load the page once, and write offline anytime.
Internationalization: Support for more language characters and translations.
Tablet and mobile version: Optimize page for writing in smaller screens.

And last, but not least: continue refining the little design details!
