Keep Big Al's Thriving: Donate for Repairs

Sarah and Sine met in 2005 while working at Big Al’s under Al’s daughter, Pat Boudreaux. They quickly bonded over their mutual love for the food service industry (and Gilmore Girls). They remained friends, but both moved on to pursue other paths: Sine, to be a stay at home mom in 2008, and Sarah, to work as a professional pastry chef in 2011. Both women continued to carry a love for Big Al’s, and when presented with the opportunity to own the restaurant, they eagerly jumped at the chance! They took ownership in March 2021 and have made it their mission to carry on the legacy of Al and Pat. You can often find their own daughters working behind the counter, too. Everyday at Big Al’s, they strive to create a welcoming atmosphere where their customers can enjoy a healthy meal at one of Tulsa’s staple restaurants.
They have handled some big struggles in owning a small business, but always handled it with stride and always putting health, safety and quality first for their valued customers. They take the time to learn your name, your order, know your likes/ dislikes, always offer to make things right, they truly care about and value everyone that walks through that door. This establishment, while being a part of Tulsa for so many years is often “driven past, or always wanted to try but never gone in” but heart and soul is put into everything we do and we always try to make things better. There is definitely a culture here and it’s one of love and community.
It’s always hard to ask for help, but in this instance we’re hoping the community we love so much could find it to give back and help us continue to bring you smiles and great food for many more years to come.
As some may or may not know the copper from one of our a/c units was stolen and it’s no small hurdle to overcome, and we just recently had to replace our plumbing which was also a big project. The a/c unit that cools the dining room was not affected but the back of house one was and it has been difficult to say the least. It could take a long time before we ourselves could afford to repair it. Your donations, big or small could help us reach that goal sooner and operate at normal hours and help keep the wonderful people who serve you healthy and safe. We are distraught when we have to close early or any time at all to take care of these things, we want you to be able to count on us to be open when we say and give you a great experience! We appreciate all your help and support! Thank you!
