Keep Beckett Safe: Support Emmalee and Dylan
Donation protected
Hello, I appreciate anyone who takes the time to read this. My 24-year-old daughter Emmalee, her boyfriend Dylan, and their 3-year-old twins, Atlas and Sylas, went to a routine pregnancy check-up on June 6th, where Emmalee's doctor sent her directly over to the emergency department with further fears of pre-eclampsia due to incredibly high blood pressure and edema.
The ED worked fast and did blood work that cemented the fears, and Emmalee was transferred to Poudre Valley in Ft. Collins. She will remain here for "at least a few days, if not weeks" while they get her body under control and make sure she and baby Beckett are safe. They have her on magnesium and are worried about it possibly turning into full blown eclampsia. Dylan will be with her as often as possible, and Atlas and Sylas are safe with us.
Emmalee is only 31 weeks along, but the doctors have already told her she will be unable to return to work and will most likely spend the rest of her pregnancy on bed rest/modified bed rest. It'll be hard to be on full bed rest with the twins running around like crazy animals all day long! (I'll be there to help as much as I can!) They don't believe she will be able to make it to 40 weeks or most likely even anywhere close to that, so the longer we can keep him safe and in her belly is good.
But without her working, this puts an incredible financial stress on Dylan as the only income at this time in a usual two-person income household. Once Emmalee has Beckett, she will be able to take her maternity leave, but she really wants to leave that for after the baby is born to be able to spend time with him and not rush back to work. So, anything we can help her with to take some stress off Dylan and help Emmalee be able to stay at home with Beckett her whole maternity leave would be amazing.
Anything you can donate is super appreciated by all of us. It will be used specifically to get Dylan back and forth to the hospital, keep him fed while he's there, and cover household bills during the time Emmalee is unable to work during this medical crisis. It helps keep my family safe and taken care of and feeling secure. I know they are loved and that's what really matters and that means the most, so if you can't donate, that's okay - good vibes, prayers, good thoughts, happy text messages, or whatever you've got - are also very appreciated! Thank you for reading this.
I will update as often as I'm able to offer anything of value.
