I am asking my community for help to cover attorney’s fees, medical costs, and monthly bills until my disability retirement is approved. I became disabled last fall and was unable to work at all by December. I filed for disability retirement but ran out of FMLA and was terminated while waiting for a response. I have used my savings and all retirement funds to cover the costs of medications and bills. Now I have been served with divorce papers in which he is asking me to cover his attorney’s fees when I can’t afford my own. The costs feel insurmountable. If I do not buy my meds including EpiPens, I will die. I am coming to my community and asking for help.
