Meet Angel, a proud student at Howard University, where she’s pursuing her degree in Sociology with a minor in Criminology through the esteemed College of Arts and Sciences Honors Program. With a 3.9 cumulative GPA, Angel has proven herself to be not only a dedicated scholar but also a compassionate leader committed to uplifting others.

From the moment she stepped foot on Howard’s campus, Angel has lived the university’s motto: “Truth and Service.”

She has volunteered extensively throughout the DMV area and actively participates in Howard’s Alternate Spring Break (ASB), a service initiative that sends students across the country and internationally to empower communities in need. Most recently, Angel traveled to North Carolina with ASB to speak and mentor high school students at A.C. Reynolds High School and support post-hurricane cleanup efforts in the wake of Hurricane Helene.

Angel’s leadership, heart for service, and academic excellence make her exactly the kind of changemaker our communities and our world need.

Despite her accomplishments, Angel is currently facing a significant tuition balance that threatens her ability to enroll for her senior year, Fall 2025. Like many students from hardworking single-parent households, Angel has worked tirelessly to earn scholarships, maintain her academic standing, and stay on track.
