Keep Alma's Family Safe and Housed

Hello, my name is Alma and I'm here to ask for your kind assistance during a very stressful and difficult time in our lives.

We're potentially facing a bigger hardship and greater loss.

Our house is currently in need of an expensive repair (estimated at $4-6,000) for which we do not have the funds, in addition to the cost of fines we're facing if not fixed promptly as it's related to local safety codes and regulations/violations which could lead to the loss of our home.

There's an issue with the sewage grinder pump (as seen in picture) which can only be repaired by ONE company, due to the make and model of the device. Said company charges hourly labor and they have no financing plans or layaway options.

We're a one-income family. My husband is a veteran (under no compensation or VA aid) who, in 2021, lost his job of nearly 20 years and was unable to claim unemployment for several weeks. This unexpected event forced us into a loan that we're still paying for today and is the main cause for which we're unable to secure another credit line or advance.

We're a small family of two 40+ year olds, our beloved dog, and our small circle of chosen family who have come to our aid in the ways they are able.
