I am 52, sick, disabled, & can get no help.
I am seeking reduction in home price appraisal down to 125 -- 150k so that I may afford it.
I seek it to be frozen in place at that fee. If I freeze it now, I will be forever stuck, since Social Security can't compensate.
TN has no tax rate cap. See graphic attached. Highest in the country. See Graphic. Another is worst place to live per XAI's Grok. See Graphic.
I wrote a letter pleading to help to the mayor's office and city council and assessor after trying to escalate my case through normal appeal routes. The response was swatting. Which is a federal crime. I suffered new issues to my heart and neuro issues. New realm of fear. I am having new skipped heart beats. Afib?
I suffer from neurological trauma, a torn up knee. My eyes are frozen. Do not react to light or focus. Constant pain, tumor knots in my side, hear voices and noises when i try to sleep. Life is hard.
I paid ~80k for my home in hopes to retire. Paid off. Have a roof over my head for life. They have hiked it up to almost half a million (445,000). Then down to 330k. I am on social security. The house is in really bad shape. I cant handle the appraisal hikes. It will keep going up. I am too sick to move. I am depressed and am almost bankrupt. Been putting taxes on credit cards. They are maxed out. No family. Please don't make me homeless. Nobody in the appeals process cares.. been through it up to the state. The tax freeze would lock me in at this ridiculous amount. The tax assistance is virtually nothing. ~$250 They reject cmas from pro realtors.. and i can't afford lawyers.
I sat in lines at the assessor's appeals. Many others are being forced out of their homes.
I feel the mayor wants elderly and disabled out of their homes to force sales cash only to big corp so they can raise tax revenue as social security is going bankrupt or will be cut soon. Big corp can fund the hikes. The elderly/sick can't. Legislation is being addressed by Trump and Florida to eliminate taxes on a primary residence to save seniors. I can't take a cash offer, which is generally around 150k before they see the repairs needed, and get back to work for a second mortgage. Rents are at an all time high. I do not have living family to move in with.
Two crimes have been committed in my opinion.
1. Swatting. Intent to intimidate/kill due to actions of police, where police said mayor's office complained. See body cam video. See time stamped photos.
And spoliation of evidence by the mayors office as this house is abutted to a cemetery and affects value as any Realtor knows.

These archives demonstrate the prior existence and content of the records over a multi year span.
The root source being https://register.shelby.tn.us/gravestone/viewimage.php?imgtype=pdf&image=2327_bland.tif which is now deleted.
It was deleted after contact with the prior mayor about the cemetary.
This means the house is part of a cemetery formed by unscrupulous means during development and state law Tennessee Code Annotated § 67-5-214 forbids taxation.
In that argument, I could ask for $0 dollar property tax, and refunding of what was paid.
I am now in fear for my life from the mayors office and police. I can't back down as I'd be homeless. I can't sell due to condition and loan repair requirements. I just want to live in my home in peace
