Keep a Roof Over Our Heads: Please Donate

When I was younger, my mother was going through a divorce with my dad. My mom was already around her 30s at that time, and it was just me and my older brother. We had nowhere to go, so we decided to live with our grandma for more than my entire life. Even though we lived with our grandma, my mom, coming as an immigrant from Thailand, only had the chance to get a high school degree, making her limited to getting jobs. She landed an office job, but she could still barely pay for rent and spend for her 2 kids. But she saved enough money through time and bought ourselves a trailer.

Around this time, it was 2020, and I was about 12, and my brother was 13. I was so stoked to have a house all by ourselves, but even so, we still fell through many hardships as me and my brother wouldn’t have worked yet. Around 2022, my mom decided to remarry a new husband from Thailand, whom she brought to the United States and had to teach him English and how to write, enrolling him in a school and getting him a job. He never treated my mother right and used her for money. At that time, my mom decided to buy a new car, having to pay a monthly fee for it. My stepdad never wanted to pay or help out with rent or anything but gave us only a little to go by, and then he decided to leave us 2 months ago without any notice.

This added a lot of burden for us and hardships as my mother has to now pay so much for rent and can’t even pay for rent now. Currently, I’m 16, and my brother's 17, and we both work part-time but only make $250 a month. We try to help our mom, but it’s still not enough. I’m asking you or anyone for help, anything means much to just help us out. My mother cries on my shoulder, telling me she doesn’t wanna go back to living with other people. And I told her that she doesn’t have to worry about it. I want to help her out by any means possible, so that’s why I used GoFundMe. I’m sorry if what I wrote wasn’t clear enough, but I would love if anyone could just donate any small amount to help us take care of rent for a couple of months. Thank you.
