My name is Mayra M. I am 40 years old, living in Passaic as a single mother of two kids. My oldest is in high school, and my youngest is in 6th grade. I have worked as a Medical Assistant for 10 years.

I come doing one of the hardest things I have come to in my age. I come asking for help for myself and my children. Despite having a stable job, the expenses of being a single mother have caught up. My kids and I are on the brink of being evicted from our one-bedroom apartment. I continue to work my full-time position and have taken on a part-time job. I come asking for any donation that your hearts can contribute so that my children and I can remain in our home.

We have been caught in a vicious cycle with the court system. Our landlord has taken me to court twice, where court fees have been applied. I then find myself short on the total amount due to the expenses from the same court system attempting to resolve the issue.

My sole responsibility is keeping a roof over my children's heads, and despite this being one of the hardest things I have come to do, I will do anything to preserve the well-being of my children. The amount we wish to raise is to help my children and I stay in our current home. This amount will help us come even with our landlord. My dedication to my work and my children will carry us after.
