Support a Climate Scientist: Emma's Degree Fund

Donation protected
My name is Emma (Uyemaa) Gantulga, a Renewable Energy Engineer who journeyed over 6000 miles from Mongolia to Washington DC with a goal: to use Data Science to protect vulnerable communities from climate catostrophes like floods and droughts that ravage places I know too well.

My mission: I began in Ulaanbaatar, designing a coal-to-solar project that brought clean energy to single moms and vulnerable families—now a national program transforming lives. I've engineered analog space suits and habitats, simulating Mars missions to push innovation.
Representing Mongolia at COP28, I advocated for global climate policies amid world leaders. But seeing disasters escalate, I pivoted to data science for scalable solutions. Accepted into The George Washington University's Master's program, my research builds early-warning models for at-risk areas in Southeast Asia and Africa—tools that could prevent losses and save countless lives. With top grades and real-world projects, I'm months from graduating and amplifying this impact.

The Urgent Obstacle
I've invested everything—savings, part-time gigs, and grants—to get here. But life's unexpected twists, including funding cuts, have created a $12,000 immediate gap, putting a hold on my account and risking my enrollment. Without help, I can't register for my final semester or complete my thesis, delaying critical climate work when time is running out.

How Your Support Makes a Real Difference
My total goal is $32,000 to secure my degree and launch into action. For full transparency, here's the breakdown:

Milestone 1: Immediate Hurdle ($12,000) – Covers outstanding Fall tuition balance. Urgency: Clears the hold to enroll now. Impact: Keeps me in school.

Milestone 2: Finish Line ($20,000) – Funds Spring tuition and fees. Impact: Enables graduation and data-driven solutions for global communities.

Your donation isn't just for a diploma—it's fuel for change. For example:

$25 buys data tools for one analysis session.
$100 supports a research presentation on climate models.
$500 covers a week's tuition shortfall.

Thank you for standing with me. Together, we can turn data into defense against climate threats. Please donate, share with your network, and follow for updates—your action could save lives!
