Keenan Needs Our Help

On December 4th, Keenan Gasway was driving to the basket, as he had done so many times that evening, to solidify a win for the Canoga Kings in the playoffs. It was do or die, win and move on, lose and go home, and Keenan was doing what he does best...leading our team to another victory.
Shockingly, as fate would have it, this would be Keenan's last play of the game. With one minute left, we were up one point, Keenan went down hard and came up screaming in pain. Teammates rushed over and saw Keenan's knee missing! There was baseball size hole where his knee used to be. Screaming and in shock, Keenan, our teammate and brother, was in pain, and there was nothing we could do about it, except call 911.
After what felt like an eternity, paramedics show up and took Keenan to West Hills Hospital. Our muscles and sweaty jerseys had become cold and stiff. Keenan wanted us to finish the game, the final 60 seconds. However, our hearts and minds were not in it anymore, they were with Keenan, alone in the ambulance, and this playoff game didn't seem so important. We lost in overtime, and it seemed fitting that our team will not play next week because one of our leaders is down.
Maybe now is our chance to win for Keenan. Without insurance, and the ability to work, Keenan needs our help. As he laid there, he wasn't talking about the pain he was in, he was expressing sincere worry and fear about how he was going to pay for all of this...How much an ambulance, hospital bills, and surgery will cost, how he is going to pay rent and put food on the table. In that moment, none of us had answers for him. We kept reassuring him it would be ok. And, it will be, if we all help Keenan back onto his feet so he can continue to lead and win.
Please help us get Keenan back on two feet in anyway you can.
Thank you for your support!
