Hi, my name is Keenan Wiggins. I started this GO FUND ME as a last resort for my current situation. I recently had a hip surgery to repair a torn labrum as of 2/27/2023 and am currently in recovery. Prior to

this surgery I was unable to hold down any consistent employment as I could not stand up for long periods of time or do many normal things due to the pain I was experiencing. Only project work or

extremely reduced hours would do & there was not much available to me near where I live. I was overweight and had to go through 4 rounds of physical therapy prior to the surgery just to be able to be

mobile. After that I had to adjust my diet & do some light exercise just to get healthy & light enough to even qualify for it.

For this surgery I had the torn labrum repaired as well as having 3 cysts and local arthritis removed from that area. I was informed the labrum tear had been there for some time. I also have disc issues in my back & neck that are on the backburner until I recover from this. The next step for that is spinal injections. Aside from my back & neck issues I also have gout, tendonitis, plantar fasciitis & arthritis in

my feet.

My recovery time is 2-3 months. Currently I have to take pain meds every 8 hours & an anti-inflammatory in between. I have an ice therapy compression machine that I also have to do 1 hour on,

30 minutes off around the clock for 2 more weeks. I could not work prior to the surgery so I have no unemployment or disability income of any kind to rely on during my road to recovery.

My current pair of shoes are split & I have a dog bed on top of my old, worn out reclining chair. I currently have issues getting out of the chair & with the recent extreme weather have had a few power

outages that caused me to become stuck. The crutches I was given are also not big enough for my hands & are extremely painful to use.

My mother has been helping out with all my expenses but it is a tremendous burden for her & I’m trying to mitigate this if I can. I am hoping this Go Fund Me will help enough funds for a new reclining chair that will also assist me in standing up, some new shoes & anything else will go towards food & meds & helping my mother out in any way it can. Any help is greatly appreciated.
