In memory of Keeley Irwin
Donation protected
It is with great sadness and heavy heart that I share the news that Keeley Irwin Mother, Wife, Daughter, Sister and Friend Suffered a cardiac arrest on the morning of 18th of June. Her husband Scott performed CPR and gave her enough time for the paramedics to arrive. Sadly Keeley passed away at the age of 47 from complications of the cardiac arrest on the morning of 24th June.
Keeley's husband Scott woke up for work on the morning of the 18th and Keeley told him that she has been up most of the night with the feeling of a lump in her chest, thinking that it was just indigestion, but then she collapsed. Scott performed CPR on her for 6 minutes until the paramedics arrived. Keeley was taken to hospital and put into an induced coma to rest. Unfortunately after a few days the family were told Keeley was without oxygen for too long and part of her brain had died. This meant she would not wake up from her sleep. The doctors told Scott that Keeley was an organ donor and they had a match for her lungs. Scott takes comfort that her donation will help someone else live and for that family to not have to feel the same grief as his.
For those of you who were blessed to know Keeley you know that she would do anything for her son Troy 25 and her daughter Sydney 9. Both children are devastated but Keeley will forever live on in Sydney who is her little mini-me. Keeley was kind, caring, funny and totally devoted to her family. Keeley would always try to help anyone she could, most of the time putting others before herself. Keeley is now at peace but sadly for her family this will take time.
I am sure you can imagine how devastating and unexpected this is for all of the family, along with the emotional pain, stress and financial burdens that this heart-breaking loss brings. While we don't know the final costs associated with the funeral, with Keeley's passing we'd like to raise as much as we can to support Scott, Sydney and Troy during this difficult time. Whether this be towards the cost of the funeral and everyday cost of living, bills or food. With all of the many decisions that have to be made in the coming days/weeks , we'd like to ensure that financial ones are not an additional burden to bear.
Any donation, no matter how small, would be gratefully received.
Thank you for all your kind messages and support.
