Hi. My name is Kecia and I am raising money for my husband, Chuck, and me. He started a new job at the end of last year. All was well until a few months ago when paychecks started bouncing. We were faithful for a while, believing that money that was due to Chuck would be paid. We used our savings to stay afloat until that ran out. We scrambled, with the help of family, to stop foreclosure on our home and to keep our utilities turned on.

Things went from bad to worse when the business owner filed for bankruptcy and is now being investigated by the FBI. We have filed a claim with the Department of Labor, but we aren’t sure if anything will come of that.

Chuck started a new job yesterday, and I am in the process of going back to work as well. We will be fine once we start getting paychecks, but we need help catching up on our past debt so we can make a new start.
