A year ago someone illegally signed our house out of my deceased mother's  Living Trust and sold it.  We've spent thousands to retain a lawyer to file suit against the fraudsters.  In the mean time the County of Los Angeles has changed the taxes so that we owe over $12,000. My 2 sisters, one of whom is retired and  and the other disabled, cannot afford to keep our family home of 4 generations. 

For the last 20 years we have made our home available to a number of young people-high school aged and young adults-to avoid or escape homelessness. Helping at least 10 people who were kicked out their family homes get on their feet.  Currently 2 former homeless reside with me.

We hope to raise enough money to cover the current defaulted taxes, any taxes that may be incurred as we go through the court proceedings, as well as lawyer fees and court cost. The attorney believes its a simple case, but with the Covid-19 pandemic all court actions are a slow process.
 This old house needs some repair. If there are funds available after covering the taxes and legal cost, they will be used to repair and manage the house and property.

The goal is to raise the money in the next two weeks.  So that the taxes can be cleared.  The next set of taxes should be upon us shortly.
