Kebo's Health Battle: Seeking Your Support

Donation protected
Kebo is 15 years old, he has a history or seizures and a heart murmur and degenerative valve disease he gets echocardiograms yearly but has been stable and hasn’t had a seizure in years, atleast to my knowledge. He was sleeping with me in bed last night and woke me up in a panic at 6am with the most terrifying screech/ yelp noise I’ve ever heard him do. He was completely lateral and not aware of his surroundings, extremely fatigued and had urinated the bed. I thought he was paralyzed somehow and that I was going to have to euthanize him. I rushed him to my job to be seen but his vitals and blood pressure were normal. I took him home to monitor but as soon as we got home and I gave him his Pimobenden and tried to feed him breakfast he had another episode where he became very wobbly, his front legs slide out from underneath of him and then he became lateral again. Unfortunately we do not have a cardiologist at my location anymore but I was able to get in touch with his previous cardiologist at my job that Kebo used to see and he mentioned possible syncope and recommended seeing a cardiologist for a work up. So I took him to care center. There they performed a limited echo and an ecg which were all also normal/stable. So we’re not sure what’s caused his signs and symptoms at this time. They recommended placing a 24 hour holter on him today to check for any arrhythmias. We were at the ER from 9am-4pm today and are both mentally, physical and emotionally exhausted. I’ll be keeping a log for his activity for the rest of the day and return the monitor tomorrow but I think this may be a neurological issue. When they returned him back to me in the exam room right before we left I noticed the left side of his head is sunken in and his left ear is a little more down than the other. He also has his head a little cocked to the left and keeps scratching at only the left side and shaking his head. The monitor results can take about a week or two to get back but if things progress we will be scheduling an appointment with a neurologist.

Any help would be truly appreciated as I have maxed out my care credit, just got divorced and recently became a new home owner. The timing is not in my favor right now. Thoughts and prayers at this time. Kebo and I thank you. ♥️
