Hello I am Jamie, Jodie Jarboe's sister.

On July 29, 2021, Jodie delivered a baby boy weighing around 3lb2 oz, 15.5 inches long, 8.5 weeks prematurely. Shiloh Davis Chapman !

 

Things happened quickly & quite dangerous for both he & his momma due to a placental abruption.

Jodie was not ready to have this baby so quickly but had money saved knowing baby Shiloh was going to be born with cardiac related medical needs.

Daddy Derrick is also overseas in China trying to help financially.

This little boy has met every challenge life has thrown at him & still does.

Recently a respiratory infection and pulmonary over circulation gave him a run for his money and just as he was starting to feel better, he had a seizure event that made us worry even more. After a handful of different tests, we found that existing damage to his corpus callosum (connection of the two hemispheres of the brain) could have been the cause, but we won’t have a solid answer about that for weeks or maybe ever. Shiloh was transferred back to the acute care unit when we thought things were nice and stable and as always, Shiloh decided stable was boring. He is coming off of gut rest and antibiotics for the possibility of NEC (necrosis of the intestines).

Doctors have decided that it’s best if he stays put until he has his full cardiac fix.

That means he won’t be released from the hospital for another 3-5 months. Maybe even longer.

Jodie is at the hospital every day all day and most nights. Her savings is depleting fast. Bills don't just stop accruing.

Let’s help give her piece of mind. Let’s let her stay with her baby for a few more months and not worry about returning to the workforce just yet!

Shiloh needs his momma. His momma needs Shiloh.
