UPDATE #2: The support continues to pour in and we have reached our second goal! What an amazing gift for our parents! We cannot tell you how grateful we are. While mom continues to fight, we can encourage her by sharing your wonderful comments, prayers and gifts. Each one is read and loved by her and my dad. We are so thankful and thank God for each of you.
UPDATE: We met our goal of $10,000 in less than 4 days! We are blown away by your support and love for our parents. So many of you have reached out that we’ve increased the goal! This relieves a huge financial burden from our dad giving him the ability to just focus on caring for her. We are so grateful!
Team Linda started in April 2012 when our mom Linda was first diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Through God’s healing, and Linda’s strength and determination during chemo, she was cancer free for 5 years. On January 2 2017, we were devastated to find out that the cancer had returned to her liver. She started chemo again and has been on and off for over a year. She has been in and out of the hospital since November as they try to ease her physical pain from the cancer and side effects from chemo.
Even though this is not the story we want for her or our family, our mom continues to choose to trust Jesus and find courage through him. She is constantly asking how others are doing or how she could pray for someone, while she is the one laying on the hospital bed in pain. She greets each hospital nurse or family visitor with a smile, easing their grief as they visit with her. It’s no accident that she is in the center of our family photo at the beach, as that is who she really is with our family. We will continue to fight with her physically and spiritually, and asking you to join us.
We are starting the go fund me page for my parents to help them pay for Linda’s medical bills, and more importantly so that our dad can take off work to be with her and care for her. Please consider giving financially to them and to also continue to pray for God’s healing. We are so grateful for your support.
