Faraj Farid replant his roots in Gaza

My compassionate people,

This GoFundMe is to acquire donations to support Faraj Farid in maintaining survival and to reconstruct his and his family’s lives.

As the world knows, it has been 125+ days of genocide in Gaza, in addition to 75 years of brutal occupation. Innocent Palestinian civilians have been the target of this. The persistent bombardment of homes and infrastructure has left most of the population in Gaza with no choice but to flea on multiple occasions just to go to another unsafe place. The list of oppressive and cruel acts against civilians in Gaza, causing incomprehensible destruction and grief, can unfortunately go on forever. This extensive list applies to every single Palestinian’s experience during this ongoing genocide in Gaza, Faraj included.

Faraj has endured unimaginable privation, displacements, injuries and sickness, loss of many loved ones, psychological terror and multiple near death experiences during these 125+ days. Events that no human should ever experience. His family home was demolished and sorely his family has been split up. Faraj’s only dream now is to go back home to the North, to what’s left of his house, to rebuild a resemblance of the life he had there before.

Faraj studied international humanitarian law, is a practicing lawyer and was working towards obtaining his master’s degree. Can you believe he is only 26? His life was on an upward trajectory of success and fulfillment and it has all been taken away..

I have been blessed in connecting with Faraj despite these difficult circumstances and I wholeheartedly believe in the good he will do in the world if he is given the chance and the hope to be free to do so.
