Ke'Asha Phillips Professional Golf Dream

Hi everyone! My name is Ke’Asha Phillips. I am 23 years old and I am from Owensboro, Ky. My dream and goal have always been to play on the LPGA tour. To achieve this, I am seeking donations to assist with tournament fees, equipment, and travel. I have been dedicated to this sport since the age of 8 and if God willing, I can one day live out my dream.

I graduated from Owensboro High School in 2017, where I played on the varsity golf team from 4th-12th grade. I have won several Junior Golf Tournaments including the 2015 KY Junior Amateur Championship. I also won the 2020 Kentucky Women’s Stroke Play Championship and the 2022 Kentucky Women’s Open championship. I represented the state of Kentucky in the USGA State Team Championship with Martha Leach. I won the 2nd region championship as a junior and senior. I finished 3rd in the KHSAA State Golf Tournament my senior year. I also finished in the top 10 in 3 AJGA events.

I graduated from Xavier University in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Social Work and Gender & Diversity Studies, where I played 4 successful years on the Women’s Golf team. At Xavier, I earned a top 6 finish and two top 10 finishes. While pursuing my Master’s degree in Social Work at Akron University, I played for 1 year on the Women’s golf team and maintained a 3.0 GPA. I also earned one top-10 finish at Akron.

After leaving Akron and returning to Kentucky, I decided to pursue golf professionally. I was able to go to Q school in Palm Springs in August 2022 with the help of a sponsor (Independence Bank of Owensboro) and a lot of support and contributions from my community and support system. It was a great experience and I am looking forward to playing in some mini-tours, Monday qualifiers, etc. before I head back this August.

When I am not practicing or playing golf, I spend my time working at Ben Hawes Golf Course in my hometown where I help run summer youth camp & also offer golf lessons to the youth. I am also the Assistant Golf Coach at Brescia University, where I not only coach but also mentor college athletes.

I would be grateful for any donation that you could make to assist me in reaching my goal of playing on a lady’s professional golf tour beginning summer of 2023. Your donation will go toward tournament entry fees, travel expenses (hotel, food, flight, gas), and equipment (golf clubs, golf balls, apparel).
