KEASH - Salon Hardship Fund

Donation protected
My name is Taiba, the owner of the creative hair brand, Keash. Black-owned hair businesses are often depicted as lesser - poorly managed, budget establishments that are unworthy of the high-street. I launched Keash out of the hope that one day we wouldn't be forced into a corner, and could co-exist as thriving businesses like everyone else.

I have learnt so much over the years from all my Aunties across various salons in  London, all of whom have different stories to tell and techniques to share. I have always sat there in my chair taking in all the little things they do to create these incredible hair styles with such accuracy and attention to detail.  However, I am always hurt by the desperation to secure every single client, often going so low down on prices to justify the wait that they're barely compensated for their hard work. Keash want to invest in the salons that inspired it so they can achieve their fullest potential.

With Covid-19 forcing hair salons to close for such a long time I want to take this opportunity to try to help 3 hardworking salons across London. I hope to raise £20,000  so I can give each salon £5,000 to help them through these hard times and hopefully allow them to have a better foundation for when they reopen.

100% of funds donated will go to these worthy businesses.

Please, help me to help my community.
