Cheerleading is not funded like CIF sports or the School District, it is all about fundraising and support of the community. The Kearny Komet Cheerleading team is transitioning to be a competitive Cheer Team. To do this, they need camps, and a whole lot of things. You can make a difference by donating today to the Kearny Cheer Team via the Kearny Community Foundation.

We provide funding for the unfunded needs of a low-income community in San Diego. We support both athletics and educational programs for all ages, and we do not discriminate. Below are the specific needs:

NCA Summer camp- $4470 ($300 each) Room and Board

Summer camp gear- $1500 ($100 Each)

Megaphone Cheer- $300 ($20 Each)

Warm Ups- $2500 - ($175 Each)

Cheer Shirts- $1500 ($100 Each)
