Keane Family

Please read and support our friends the Keane family.

Nearly one year ago on the 25/07/22 to 28/07/22 Elton Keane cycled from Rock Ferry, Wirral to Brighton (290 miles in total) to raise money for Cancer charity. Elton is someone who has worked in the NHS on the Wirral for over 30 years, is a very caring person and passionate about helping others. Therefore, he wanted to do something that would challenge him personally but also more importantly help others.

Less than one year after Elton completing this fantastic and challenging fund-raising campaign, his wife Elaine Keane was sadly diagnosed with throat cancer. Therefore, the Keane family have found themselves in a position they never dreamt to be in. Elaine is currently undergoing treatment and is being supported by her loving husband and two sons.

Elaine has also dedicated her career to helping others and runs an official child-minding business in their family home. Unfortunately, Elaine’s business she has worked hard to establish over the years has had to temporarily close while she undergoes cancer treatment.

In honour of Elton’s previous fund-raising challenge and to support Elaine, a group of friends and colleagues are recreating Elton’s cycle from Rock Ferry to Brighton virtually. Together we will cycle, walk and run a total 290 miles over weekend 28/07/22 to 30/07/23.

Funds raised will be gifted to the Keane family to spend in any way that is needed to make their lives slightly easier during this difficult time.

We want the Keane family to know that there are lots of people who care about them!
