Aloha, my name is Kapua and I am starting this on behalf of my Keahi ohana of Lahaina. I am one of 54 grandchildren from our late, Primrose Keahi, we have lost multiple homes in the devastating Lahaina fire. We are humbly asking for any donations to help us get through this time until we know what steps we can take forward. I don’t have all the details of how everyone got out, but we are beyond grateful that everyone is accounted for!
I am located on Oahu gathering physical donations to send to my ohana directly. The reason you are hearing from me is because every Keahi that is displaced on Maui is so busy taking care of other families they don’t have the time to even think of this. Everyone that is able to is on the ground helping get others what they need.
This will be a long road to recover, but we are a strong and resilient people and we will get through this. We are only asking for some help along the way, mahalo for any and all donations, they are greatly appreciated. All funds will be distributed to the Keahis to buy some of what we have lost and to survive the days to come.
